US-based Innerspace designs, develops and manufactures powerful and efficient thrusters and motors for applications on ROVs, AUVs and submarines.
For more than 65 years Innerspace has provided propulsion technology for submersible vehicles for industrial, commercial and defence applications.
The agreement came about as a result of Subsea Supplies attending Oceanology International North America in San Diego in February, 2017.
Pauline McCann, sales manager at Subsea Supplies, said:
“We’re delighted to have agreed this partnership with Innerspace – a company with an international reputation for service and quality. Along with our other first-class suppliers, it means we are able to offer additional products to our customers that will enhance projects and provide them with real benefits.”
Omar Rafeh, director of operations at Innerspace, said:
“We are honoured that Subsea Supplies has partnered with Innerspace Corporation as a supplier for their clients. We appreciate that their clients trust them to offer the best available products from the world’s most reputable manufacturers and we are thrilled to be among this group.”
Innerspace thrusters are used on Cyclops 2, a research class submersible which will take part in the 2018 Titanic Survey Expedition. This will be the first manned submersible expedition to the wreckage of RMS Titanic since 2005. The expedition to explore and map the world’s most famous shipwreck is scheduled to take six weeks.
