Synthetically formulated Neoprene demonstrates superior adhesive properties to a wide variety of metals and thermoplastics, making it an ideal choice for overmoulding cables in subsea applications. The adhesion property of neoprene to metal and thermoplastics is significantly higher than that of polyurethane.

Our neoprene blend formulation includes anti-biofouling properties improving the longevity of the cables under subsea environment. Another stand out property of neoprene at Subsea Supplies is the high insulation resistance (IR) value, positioning us to mould cables rated up to 5000V. Combined with naturally occurring properties of neoprene, resistance to oil and chemicals, solid but not rigid like metals make it the number one choice for overmoulded cables in subsea application.
